The North Wales Growth Deal bid - £1.3 billion investment in the North Wales economy

What exactly is the North Wales Growth Deal Bid?

In December the North Wales Growth Board (a partnership of Local Authorities and wider partners e.g. HE, FE and the NWMD Business Council) submitted a Growth Deal bid to UK and Welsh Governments for £383m of project funding for North Wales.

The proposals would be a catalyst for a total investment of £1.3 billion in the North Wales economy, a return of £3.40 for every pound spent. It is expected that over 5,000 jobs could be created from the potential investments within the Growth Deal across Technology & Innovation Hubs, Sites & Premises for business, Digital connectivity, Skills, Transport and Business support.
